yung relay, yan ba yung with 7 discipline, where they swim, bike and what else pa ba? The husband of my Pakistani friend joins such, they swim over a river and further to other discipline: marathon, biking..

Thanks Guia for broadcasting it in your multiply account and you're most welcome Val. The festival will be held again middle of this May and if you guys wanna go, just let me know, I can help you arrange the trip. Hi Bubu, its a triathlon lang, swim, bike and run.

It's called a triathlon, and includes swimming, biking, and running a marathon. The Ironman Triathlon on the Big Island of Hawai'i is probably the most famous.

Thanks Guia and McMike. Sarangani Bay must be in Muslim Mindanao (judging by the headgear and dances)?

Guia, galing nitong video. I particularly love the Muslims dancing in their traditional costumes (may bolo knives pa sila. Siguro para tirahin yung mga quitters), the plate/duck walk race, the lava tube floating down the rapids (I would love to be on that one) and the party at night. As far as the triathlon, saludo ako sa mga yon. They are either crazy and masochistic or sabi nga nila..ASTIG!! Love that video!! Thanks for sharing this.

Yes, Bert. Sarangani Bay is bound by the provinces of South Cotabato and Sarangani. Sarangani Province used to be part of the province of Cotabato. There are indigenous highland tribes in Cotabato and Sarangani like the B'laan and T'boli as well as the indigenous tribes Sangil, Manobo and Bagobo that were converted to Islam by Muslim traders as far back as the 16th century. However, Sarangani now has a majority of Visayans and Ilokanos who had migrated there and taken root since the 1950s when the area was sparsely populated.

Mike, maganda talaga yung video. Exciting footage and the images are very clear and crisp. Gawa mo ba ito? I seem to remember you were editing Sarangani videos in your office about two years ago.

Thanks, Guia :-) Yes, it's my own production. I'm actually in the process of going back into online publishing but I'm building a video-based website. I'm editing footages I have taken over the last three years and we are still shooting. We will be covering the Karagatan Festival on May 16-18 in the West Coast of Puerto Princesa. It is very similar to the Sarangani Bay Festival which is also taking place on May 16-18 (and I can't cover both!). The website should be up and running before the end of the year. I have uploaded other short clips in travelistic.com and since you're good at sharing them in your multiply, here are the links to some of them. http://www.travelistic.com/video/show/8257/Coco-Loco-Island-Resort
