I arrived in Michigan past the peak of autumn. Rain had caused much of the colorful leaves to fall off. But, from the car, I still took these photos of the remaining beautiful foliage as Nina and I were going to pick up our sister Gina from the hospital.

i remember one time when tita gina was driving and she encountered a grizzly bear. yikes.

ako naman we encountered a moose in montana and a deer (the gwapo kind, with large antlers) somewhere in michigan. and i forgot which state, basta we were driving and there was a dead skunk! yuck!

sa maynila, daga palaka aso't pusa.

Piks, this is the same route wherein we stopped by a roadside farmhouse with a barn and a pond. You and Emily ran after the ducks. I think we have a picture of you and Lola Luz and Emily there somewhere. The farmhouse and the barn and pond are still there!

The autumn leaves are beautiful and soothing. I can almost inhale the clean, cool air. A nice way to slow down and enjoy nature's gifts.
